MARKET INTELLIGENCE
DEVELOPMENT COOKIE POLICY
Version: dev-0.1
1. DEVELOPMENT STATUS
This document describes the cookie-control architecture currently being prepared for Market Intelligence.
The final production cookie inventory must be generated from the actual technologies deployed at commercial launch.
2. COOKIE CATEGORIES
Market Intelligence currently models four categories:
NECESSARY
Technologies required for essential platform operation, authentication, security, session management or preservation of privacy choices.
Necessary technologies cannot be disabled through the optional-cookie control where they are genuinely required to provide the requested service.
FUNCTIONAL
Optional technologies that provide additional functionality or preferences that are not strictly necessary for the core service.
ANALYTICS
Optional technologies used to understand product usage or performance where such use requires optional activation.
MARKETING
Optional technologies used for advertising, marketing measurement or similar purposes.
3. DEFAULT BEHAVIOUR
The privacy architecture is designed with:
Necessary: enabled where actually necessary Functional: disabled by default Analytics: disabled by default Marketing: disabled by default
Optional categories must not be treated as enabled merely because a user registers or accepts mandatory service terms.
4. CHOICE
Users should be able to make a granular choice concerning optional categories where required.
Rejecting optional categories should not prevent access to core functionality that does not depend on those categories.
5. WITHDRAWAL
Where optional processing is based on consent, the platform should permit the user to change the preference and withdraw that consent.
6. EVIDENCE
The platform privacy architecture can maintain a preference snapshot so the current cookie choice can be determined.
7. COOKIE INVENTORY
The definitive commercial inventory of cookie names, providers, purposes, durations and first-party/third-party status has not yet been approved.
This inventory must be completed from the actual production deployment before commercial launch.
8. THIRD PARTIES
Third-party scripts must not be assumed to be necessary.
Each production integration should be classified before optional technologies are activated.
